Gila River EMS teaches CPR & First Aid to New Governance Center Employees
This month, Paramedic Jim Kalweit assisted by Paramedic Anthony Brandt taught CPR and First Aid to the New Governance Center Security Department. With the assistance of EMS, the Security Officers are now able to provide life saving information which will undoubtedly, in the future help with employees and visitors to the New Governance Center. Mr. Kalweit, while instructing, spoke regarding the value of prehospital education to our vital community partners. He additionally stressed the value for the general public to be informed on CPR, First Aid and EMS in general.
CPR and First Aid are the community's first line of defense regarding heart attack and stroke. Understanding both the process and mechanism involved in such medical conditions will help to improve patient survivability and overall condition.
